1. Introduction

Modusen ("Modusen", "we", "us" or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Notice explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect personal data when you visit our websites, contact us, request a demo or otherwise interact with us (together, our "Services").

This notice applies to modusen.com and any related pages, forms and communications that link to it. Some Modusen products may have their own privacy notices or terms. Where they do, those documents apply to the product and this notice applies to everything else.

2. Personal data we collect

We collect personal data in the following ways.

Information you give us. For example, when you request a demo, contact us or communicate with us, we may collect your name, work email address, company name, job role, country, the type of business you operate, and the content of your messages.

Information collected automatically. When you use our websites, we may collect information about your device and how you use the site. This includes the pages you view, the time spent on each page, how far you scroll, how you arrived (such as a search engine, a link or a campaign tag), your browser and device type, and your approximate location derived from your internet connection.

Information from other sources. We may receive business contact information from publicly available sources, events, or people who refer you to us, where permitted by law.

3. How we use personal data

We use personal data to:

  • respond to your enquiries and demo requests, and communicate with you;
  • understand which products and features interest you, so that we can prepare relevant information;
  • operate, maintain, secure and improve our websites and Services;
  • send you information about our products and services, where you have agreed or where the law allows;
  • detect and prevent spam, fraud, abuse and security incidents; and
  • comply with legal obligations and protect our rights.

4. Consent and legal basis

Where required by law, we collect, use and disclose your personal data with your consent, which you may give when you submit a form. We may also process personal data where it is necessary for our legitimate business purposes or to comply with the law. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that took place before you withdrew it.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

Our websites may use cookies, local storage and similar technologies to operate the site, remember your preferences and understand how the site is used.

Currently, modusen.com does not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics. It uses your browser's local storage to keep a record of the pages you view on our site for up to 30 days. This record stays on your device and is sent to us only if you submit a form and agree to share it. If we introduce other technologies, we will update this notice.

6. Sharing personal data

We do not sell personal data. We may share personal data with:

  • service providers who support our business, such as website hosting, email delivery, security and IT providers, who process it on our behalf and under our instructions;
  • our professional advisers, such as lawyers, auditors and insurers;
  • government authorities, regulators or courts, where required by law; and
  • a buyer, successor or partner in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of all or part of our business.

7. International transfers

Our service providers may store or process personal data in countries other than the one in which you are located. When we transfer personal data outside your country, we take reasonable steps to ensure that it receives a standard of protection comparable to that required by applicable law.

8. Retention

We keep personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this notice, including to follow up on your request and maintain any business relationship, or as required by law. When it is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect personal data against unauthorised access, use, disclosure, alteration and loss. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Your rights and choices

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, or correction of, the personal data we hold about you; withdraw your consent; ask us to limit how we use your personal data; and ask us to delete it. You may also opt out of marketing communications at any time by using the unsubscribe link in our emails or by contacting us.
